Greta Fisher Leach

I would like to nominate Greta Fisher Leach for Optional Coach of the year! I have had the pleasure of knowing Greta as an athlete, coach and judge. We have been partners for the past 12 years and she is not only an amazing coach, but also a terrific person. Greta works with our developmental program and is also our optional team coach, creating innovative workouts that make the kids strong and engaged in their gymnastics. She coordinates the strength program in our gym and creates amazing conditioning programs that the kids love to challenge themselves with. She creates innovative and efficient drills on her events, that teach her athletes the foundations of good gymnastics. She is someone that has a calm and thoughtful approach to teaching gymnastics, and through that, there is an enormous amount of respect from her athletes and fellow coaches. Greta is someone who truly lives and breathes gymnastics. Her work ethic and dedication to the sport is admired by her fellow coworkers as well as her friends in the gymnastics community. She is a former NCAA D1 college gymnastics athlete, who brings her knowledge and love for the sport to all that she encounters. I can’t think of another person as dedicated to her athletes or to the sport of gymnastics. It is my hope that Greta receives this honor of optional coach of the year, so we can highlight and honor the work she does with her gymnasts, not only in the gym, and on the competition floor, but also for creating strong women that can face challenges in everyday life.
