NCWGA (NorCal)

The Northern California Women's Gymnastics Association is an organization of gymnastics clubs that works in conjunction with USA Gymnastics to promote and oversee gymnastics in Northern California.

USA Gymnastics SAC/NorCal

USA Gymnastics is the governing body of gymnastics for the United States.  The State Administrative Committee (SAC)  NorCal is the committee that makes sure all rules are followed in qualifying and competitions.


National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges NorCal recruits, trains, develops, assigns, and represents judges in Northern California.  It is the Northern California part of the National organization.

  • Compulsories

    • Drop Back Date for Level 3/4/5 is Monday, October 24, 2016

  • Optionals

    • Drop Back Date and Specialist Declaration date for the Spring 2017 Competitive Season is Monday, March 6, 2017

  • Petitioning to State and Regionals

  • Qualification State & Regional Championships

    • All levels must qualify at a USA Gymnastics Sanctioned meet

    • Level 3 34.50 All Around Guarantee of 360 gymnasts at State. 

    • Level 4 34.50 All Around Guarantee of 360 gymnasts at State. 

    • Level 5 32.00 All Around Guarantee of 360 gymnasts at State.

    • Level 6 through 10 32.00 All Around

    • Any State meet has the potential to be a 3 day meet.

    • The Top 6 Level 6/7/8/9/10 Northern California State Team Members will receive State Team Jackets. The Top 12 Level 7 & 8 Northern California State Team Members representing Norcal at the Region 1 Regional Championships will be sized for a Leotard that they will receive from Region 1 at Regionals and wear in the State Team Session at Regionals.

  • Xcel Program Updates

  • Drop Back Date for Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond is Monday, March 6, 2017

  • All Xcel gymnasts must compete in two meets at the level the Athlete plans to compete at States

  • The Top 6 Bronze will receive State Team Jackets

  • The Top 3 Xcel South and the Top 3 Xcel North Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond State Team Members will receive State Team Jackets
