L/9 s will have 2 separate meets with 2 judge panels due to the large number of competitors. L/10s will compete on Sat.

The Level 9 & 10 Regional meet entry fee will be raised to $90 due to the rising costs of using two gyms. Hosts are not making any money and barely breaking even.

*Coaches shirts for JO Nationals will be remaining the same yearly.

*USAG is highly encouraging more Level 4 registered athletes.

*USAG is allowing gymnasts to register as early as May 1st each year with the membership good for 14 months.

*Please do not collect your athletes USAG registration fees early and wait to send it in to USAG. Parents are calling USAG complaining that they are not receiving their children’s magazines. This is occurring because clubs are collecting in Jan. and waiting until the spring/summer to send it in. Send it in as received. USAG thanks you!

*Clarification on qualification process to Compulsory State meets:

Several Proposals were passed at the June meeting setting current qualification processes to Level 5&6 State Meets; there is some confusion regarding parts of the process.

State Meet Qualifying Process Clarifications:

  1. 31.00 AA is now the minimum qualification score to Level 5 & 6 States. (not 32.00 as before)
  2. 2. Age divisions will no longer be considered when setting the % allotted for each zone. Each zone will be allotted a specific number of qualified gymnasts regardless of age groups.

  3. Any gymnast attaining a 33.00AA or higher at their respective Zone Championship Meet will automatically qualify for the State Championships.
  4. Any Level 5 or 6 gymnast attaining two 34.5AAs at any two NorCal meets (meets must be posted on the NorCal calendar) during the Fall season will automatically qualify to State Championships. This number of gymnasts will not be included in the numbers of spaces allotted for the qualified gymnast’s respective zone. Percentages will be built upon spots left after the number of gymnasts qualified to states with the two 34.5AA score requirement.

*NorCal Awards Clarification: See Executive Board Meeting Minutes.

*Senior Video: Discussion about the proposal voted in by the Executive Board at their meeting. Clarification: NorCal did not originally ask coaches for donations; coaches offered to pitch in and the proposal came to fruition with the idea that the video costs are more than coaches/clubs can afford.
